Already a passionate ‘boatie’ or want to find out how to become one, then a trip to this month’s Sydney International Boat Show is a must to find out everything you need to know about recreational boating in Australia.
The Sydney International Boat Show is the largest recreational marine event in the southern hemisphere and runs from 28 July – 1 August, 2016. The show is located at two fantastic venues within Sydney Harbour, all outdoors in-water exhibitions can be found at Cockle Bay Marina, Darling Harbour and you will find all undercover exhibits at Sydney Exhibition Centre on Glebe Island.
Hundreds of show exhibitors will be on display for you to visit from every aspect of the Australian recreational boating industry from companies specialising in houseboats, boat paints and winches to sailing schools, marine barbeques, outboard engines and a vast array of others.
Expert speakers include; fisherman Steve Stirling, solo circumnavigator Lisa Blair, boating author David Lockwood, fish finding experts Garmin and many more will take to the ‘Hot Seat’ daily.
Or head out on to the pontoons to see rows and rows of sail and motor water craft from the Beneteau Oceanis 60, Hanse 505, J122, Leopard 40 and Dufour 310 to the Boston Whaler 240DA, Riviera 47GI, Sealine C330 and Arvor 730 among many others.
